Inca Educa works with underprivileged teenagers and youngsters from orphan homes and poor families from socially backward areas, who see little opportunities for education and work due to lack of financial resources. Since September 2005 Inca Educa also works with women up to 35 years. Many children support their families, helping sell their own products in the market, others sell sweets, cigarettes and other things in the street.
Inca Educa also works with women up to 40 years old. Women often have no work at all or they sell goods on markets or in the street, often they earn the living for their family next to their motherhood. Besides school and work, teenagers and youngsters have no other activities to help them in their general development. Women often fall victim to violence in the family, and due to lack of knowledge about their (sexual) rights and administration, and since they are afraid of their husbands, they often are confined to a low social status.
